Frequently asked questions
Got questions about the AT Heating Module? We've answered the most common ones below.
If you can't find what you're looking for, drop us an email and we'll help.
What makes the AT Heating Module special?
It started as military technology, built to last at least 25 years or 50,000 operating hours. Because it outlasts two or three standard boilers, the upfront cost is higher.
What are the advantages over other heating systems?
It takes up very little space. There are no wearing or degrading parts inside. It heats water quickly to high temperatures. No permits are needed. No chimney is required. It comes with a replacement warranty. It's more efficient (the 12 kW model reaches 99.69%). It can be installed as close to the point of use as possible. It's straightforward to install. With annual maintenance, you get up to 20 years of replacement warranty.
What can I use the AT Heating Module for?
Underfloor heating, radiators, fan heaters/convectors, baseboard heating, wall and ceiling heating, buffer tanks, swimming pools, and domestic hot water.
How hot can the water get?
Up to 95°C if you need it, or as low as 20°C for underfloor heating.
How fast does it heat water?
Every module has a different heating capacity, called Delta-T, which measures the temperature difference between the water entering and the water leaving the system. For example, the 12 kW model has a Delta-T of 20°C. This means that during a single flow-through cycle - which takes approximately 2 seconds - it can raise the water temperature by 20°C. So if the incoming water temperature is 5°C, the unit can heat it up to around 25°C within those 2 seconds.
Which AT Heating Module size do I need for my home?
For homes insulated to current building standards: • 4 kW — 50 to 70 m² • 8 kW — 110 to 130 m² • 12 kW — 150 to 180 m²
